A School for the Future

The school is situated in a pleasant residential area of Fulham, close to Bishops Park.  There is easy access by public transport, as well as safe access by foot.  Our buildings are continually expanding and improving and our Residential Site Manager ensures that they are secure and carefully maintained.

The school is fully equipped and resourced to give pupils every opportunity for success.  Our facilities include a state-of-the-art technology block, three fully networked ICT suites and an increasing number of classrooms with interactive whiteboards.  There is also a new all-weather PE facility, a Borough City Learning Centre on site, a Fitness Studio and a Drama Workshop.

Why Choose a Boys' School?

It is nationally recognised by the DfES that boys and girls develop at different rates.  At Henry Compton School, we provide a programme of study that meets the specific needs of boys, helping them to make maximum progress and achieve enhanced success at GCSE.

Our boys gain an enriched educational experience through a balanced combination of curriculum - Science, Arts, Technology, Literature and Sport - which is supported by an expanding programme of extra-curricular activities.

 HENRY COMPTON SCHOOL

 SCIENCE COLLEGE

Henry Compton School became a Specialist Science College in September 2006. The School successfully secured sponsorship from The Moody's Foundation, Microsoft and the Dr Edwards and Bishop King's Fulham charity to support the application for specialist status. The school is most grateful to its sponsors for their support.

The school's aim is to provide the best educational opportunities for all its pupils, with science being a particular centre of excellence. The school will also be working with other local schools, business and community groups to support and extend the educational opportunities for these partners.

As well as sponsorship money, the school has received additional funding from the Department for Education and Skills to launch the school as a science college. A new science laboratory has been opened to increase the number of laboratories available to pupils. The school has also become a Hitachi Interactive Whiteboard centre of excellence and interactive whiteboards have been installed in most classrooms. These developments have greatly improved the opportunities for active learning for pupils at Henry Compton.

Through the school's work with its community partners, we will be making these facilities available to other local school children from All Saints, St Stephens, Langford, Sir John Lillie and Hurlingham & Chelsea to begin with. These children's will be able to participate in science events hosted at Henry Compton as well as having opportunities to take part in exciting science lessons using the new laboratory
